Farewell thank you, Joe
Joseph Parekattil
is a short man but with a sharp insight into what brick and mortar can
do. He is our builder and architect. Within the span of two years, he
has planned and built a beautiful church in the compound, a residence
with spacious rooms for the jesuits and strengthened the walls of the
workshop with strong pillars that can withstand the beating it takes
from the youthful team that work there. All solar designs are set up in
the compound and the gardens are all planned in a decorative way. He
has even made use of the terrace of the Church to have a roof green
house garden where all sorts of vegetables are grown. The campus in its
own way exudes peace and tranquility and even our water tank is filled
with solar energy.
Joe has since moved over to Taru Mitra in Digha but he is always there to share with us his innovative ideas. Our sincere thanks to you, Joe, for the wonderful man that you are and for making our place really lovable, peaceful and artistic. May the Sun always shine on you and keep you cheerful.

Our Co-workers
We have a small team of dedicated co-workers most of whom are dalits
who have mastered the skill by practice. They get a rare chance to
travel all over India for solar installations. They do interact very
uniquely with our research scholars from abroad. The experience of
work, travel and interactions have empowered them; enhancing their self
belief and self esteem. SAAP is indeed proud of them.
